ABOUT ME
I have always loved and believed in the power storytelling has to transform the human heart, whether it be from oral tradition, the written word or visual art in motion. I entered art school with the intent on becoming an animator but left with a BFA in Illustration, graduating from the Columbus College of Art and Design in 2011. Through a lot of experimentation in school, I realized that no other major could allow me to experiment in storytelling, characterization, drawing, graphic design and traditional media techniques like illustration.
This website mainly showcases projects I completed during my time at CCAD, but I am looking forward to adding more personal and professional work in the future. I occasionally use my design skills to help friends and family with their own personal projects and business needs.
For the past six and a half years I have been laboring on my own personal art and writing projects while working full time as a book fair consultant for Scholastic Book Fairs. I guide and encourage administrators, teachers, librarians and parent volunteers to promote a love of reading to their students through the successful execution of each book fair.
Being a Christian I spend much of my time studying God's Word in English and Biblical Hebrew. I am also studying the French language with the hope of becoming fluent. When I am not sitting at a desk I am running, boxing, swimming and lifting weights.
